Publicity

On Monday March 23, 2009 prior to the launch the Mudgee Guardian ran a story and a photograph of Norman holding the book. The photo was taken by journalist Connie Stevens outside the Mudgee Guardian building.

On Monday March 30th there was a follow-up story and photos with more photos in the Wednesday
April 1st issue of the Weekly.

Lots of photos were taken at the launch and some of these are now on this site. Paul Barton also made a video of the launch proceedings and a DVD copy was given to Norman on the following day as memento of the occasion.

In the ten days prior to the book launch the Mudgee Guardian ran a competition that was also advertised on this web site. Two copies of the book were offered as prizes for answering three questions. Lots of entries were received and the winners were Peter Holmes and Alma Waters.

Our web site provides a facility for on line purchase of the book. It was heartening to note the first purchase was made on Friday 3rd April by Ann Hookway of Leadville near Dunedoo. Anne, a senior citizen, told us it was the first time she had used the internet to make an on-line purchase in the 18 months she has had her computer. Congratulations Ann!
